There’s more to your library than you thought! Why is Alan Bennett Baffled at a Bookcase? What are Lucy Mangan’s Ten Library Rules? Why did Hardeep Singh Kohli befriend a punk in Glasgow library and what do mobile library drivers really get up to?
Find out in The Library Book where an all-star lineup of authors reveal all.
The Library Book is being published in aid of The Reading Agency and in time for National Libraries day (4th February), and has excerpts from 23 of our finest writers including: Alan Bennett, Stephen Fry, Zadie Smith and Julian Barnes. All royalties from The Library Book are being donated to The Reading Agency, the independent charity working to inspire more people to read more.
See The Library Book on channel four news and read about how Boyd Tonkin of The Independent feels about Libraries. Read contributor Val McDermid’s piece in the Daily Mirror and check out Loose Ends on the 4th of February to hear Lionel Shriver’s thoughts.
