The Hay Festival and the National Trust have announced the winners of the ‘Outdoors Books of the Year’ poll to find the best recent writing about the outdoors. Members of the public voted for their favourite book, published for the first time since 2010, which celebrates in some way the joys of the outdoors.
Richard Mabey’s Weeds reached the final list which included eight other nature writers. Further information on the prize can be found here.
Further evidence of that fact that he truly is the ‘nation’s favourite nature writer’ Sunday Times.
