Michael Haag

Michael Haag has written widely on the Egyptian, Classical and Medieval worlds and on the modern Middle East. His works include the much-admired Alexandria: City of Memory (Yale UP), a chronicle of the cosmopolitan city from Cavafy to Durrell, and The Templars: History and Myth (Profile Books). His journalism has appeared in major newspapers and magazines in Britain, Egypt and America, and he has broadcast for the BBC. Michael Haag lives in London.
