Alan Bennett comes to Exmouth Market

Alan Bennett came to Exmouth Market this week to sign special editions of Smut. Clerkenwell Tales kindly hosted the signing, and provided plenty of tea while we dragged hundreds of books, empty cardboard boxes and bits of brown paper in and out. Peter Ho, the owner, was very upset to have missed it – because he was out playing tennis with one of our editors!
